LPM Restaurants, the group behind La Petite Maison in DIFC, opened Le Café LPM on 23 October. It sits in Villa 5 on Al Wasl Road, opposite H by Huna, and keeps long hours: breakfast from 7:30am, lunch from 11:30am, and the kitchen taking orders until 11:30pm, with the doors open until 1am.

The cooking is Riviera, served from breakfast onwards, and there is a terrace. Every price below is from the café's own sample menu, read on 26 October. In the opening weeks those numbers can still move.

Hours and prices change. Check with the venue before you go.

What to order

A late lunch on the terrace: the croque monsieur with honey butter at AED 80, then the dark chocolate mousse with sea salt at AED 45. That comes to AED 125 before coffee, and it is our pick, not the café's.

For a morning visit, the croissant and a flat white come to AED 47. The shakshuka, at AED 65, is the more filling order.
