Coffee & Sweets

A glass roastery among the Al Quoz warehouses.

Julith Coffee roasts on site at Kunooz in Al Quoz. Its bags start at AED 50, and a Colombian El Diviso Ombligon tops the shelf at AED 335.

Julith Coffee sits in a glass-fronted warehouse on 6th Street in Al Quoz Industrial 1, part of the Kunooz development, and roasts its beans in the same building. The café is the front room of a working roastery, so the coffee on the bar and the bags on the shelf come from the same machine.

The range runs wider than most Dubai roasters keep in stock: Ethiopian and Brazilian lots for every day, a run of experimental Indonesian processes, and Panama Geishas for the occasion.

Hours and prices change. Check with the venue before you go.

What to order

Order whatever is on filter, then buy the bag it came from. The everyday pair is the Ethiopia Guji Shakiso and the Brazil Bronze Cloud, both AED 50, and the house Julith Blend is AED 60 for anyone who drinks milk coffee at home.

At the other end, the Colombian El Diviso Ombligon Floral Symphony is AED 335, with Panama Geishas from AED 180. That is a bag to share with someone who will notice the difference.

When to go

Weekday mornings are calm enough for an hour's work with a laptop. At weekends the doors open later, at 9am, and stay open until 8pm, which makes it an easy late-afternoon stop between galleries on Alserkal Avenue.

How we checked

Every fact here comes from the venue's own website, menu, booking page or Instagram, or from the Michelin Guide and official listings. Nobody paid to be in this guide, and nobody knew we were writing it. If something has changed, write to [email protected] and we'll correct it. How we pick a place →
