The galleries at Alserkal Avenue opened their autumn shows in the third week of September, and they now close one after another over the next fortnight. Six of them are worth an afternoon in Al Quoz before they go.
They are listed here in closing order, starting with Amir Khojasteh at CARBON 12 on Thursday 5 November and ending with Maggie Otieno at Efie Gallery on Friday 13 November. Each one is a walk-in during gallery hours, with no ticket.
Hours differ from gallery to gallery, and most close on Sundays. Zawyeh, The Third Line and Firetti Contemporary are the three of the six open every day.
Hours and prices change. Check with the venue before you go.

How to do it
Start with the show that closes first and work along the list. All six are in Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz 1, within a short walk of each other, so two or three fit into one visit.
On a Sunday, keep to Zawyeh, The Third Line and Firetti. Efie opens on Sundays by appointment only.
Getting there
Park in the RTA bays around the Avenue and pay with code 364C. Without a car, bus 110 runs from Onpassive Metro station every 12 minutes.
