RAW Coffee Company buys direct from farms and roasts in the Al Quoz warehouse where it pours. Kim and Matt, who run it, treat the café as the roastery's showroom, and the beans on the counter were roasted on site.
Coffee starts at 7:30am every day, and the kitchen opens at 8am. Cup prices are on the board in the café rather than published online.

How to do it
Sit at the bar before 9am, while the room is still quiet. Breakfast is the reason to stay: the menu is short and seasonal, and the long tables suit a working morning. Take a bag of beans from the counter on the way out.
Getting there
The café is on the corner of 7A and 4A Street, off Al Manara Road, by RTA car park WH10. Alserkal Avenue is a short drive away, so it pairs well with a gallery morning.
