Kunafa nabulsia is the reason to stop at Ibsais Sweets, a Palestinian sweet shop in a ground-floor unit of B2 Mall on Jumeirah Beach Road, Jumeirah 3. It is baked in large round trays and cut to order.

We found no website and no menu online. The shop posts its trays and its hours on Instagram, and prices are set at the counter.

Hours and prices change. Check with the venue before you go.

What to order

Kunafa nabulsia: soft white cheese under a crisp semolina crust, soaked in syrup and finished with ground pistachio. It is best within minutes of leaving the oven, when the cheese still pulls.

Eat one piece at the counter, then take a tray away. It is the dessert that holds its own at a family lunch.

When to go

Listings give opening from 10am every day, closing at 11pm or midnight depending on the source, so check the shop's Instagram before a late visit. For a large tray, call ahead so one is ready.
