On Saturday 7 November the club records of the last thirty years are played two ways: for a 31-piece orchestra at Dubai Opera from AED 350, or as deep house on the beach at Be Beach from AED 200.

Saturday night has two answers to the same question. At Dubai Opera, Ministry of Sound Classical rescores dance anthems such as Sandstorm, Sunchyme, Insomnia and Right Here, Right Now for a 31-piece orchestra, vocalists and a light show. At Be Beach, on the water at Dubai Harbour, Deep House Bible plays deep and Afro house from sunset.
Both are on tonight, and both are ticketed. The opera suits dinner in Downtown first; Be Beach suits arriving at sunset and staying late. The dress codes differ: the opera turns away shorts, flip-flops, beachwear and sportswear, while Be Beach asks for beach chic and no flip-flops.

Ministry of Sound Classical
Vocalists, a conductor and a 31-piece orchestra take on the dance records of the 1990s and after, with a sound and light show. DJ support comes from Hodges and Mark Pickup.

Dubai Harbour, open air
Deep House Bible at Be Beach
Ahmed Spins' Deep House Bible takes over the beach club, with Desiree, Gawdat, Samm and Alex Twin. It was first announced for Skydive Dubai and now runs at Be Beach, so older listings may still show the first venue.

Getting there
Dubai Opera sits in Downtown, by the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall. Dubai Harbour's parking is limited, so the listing advises a taxi or a ride-hailing car, and the nearest metro station, Nakheel Harbour and Tower, is about 5km away.
