Dubai edition

This weekend: Fri 30 Oct to Sun 1 Nov

Where to go out in Dubai.
Checked before we post.

Coffee & Sweets

Dubai's four best-designed coffee rooms.

Four places where the room is half the reason to go. What to order, what it costs and when they open.

In each of these four, the room is part of the coffee. A roaster runs in full view at Kairos, under 30 clay tiles by Kamal Alzubi. At Cherry House, beans ride an overhead belt across the room to a Loring roaster.

Two are in Al Quoz, a short drive apart: Kairos in the Creative Zone and Subko at Alserkal Avenue. ONA is in Jumeirah 1 and Cherry House in Al Safa, close enough to pair with either.

Kairos and Cherry House both open at 7am, so go early. ONA opens at 8am and serves breakfast until 1pm. Subko opens at 9am and stays open until 10pm.

Hours and prices change. Check with the venue before you go.

What it costs

Two of the four publish prices. At ONA, coffee starts at AED 26 and a Panama Geisha runs from AED 90 to AED 190. Cherry House lists a croissant at AED 23 and a flat white at AED 27. Kairos and Subko don't publish menus online, so the price is at the counter.

How we checked

Every fact here comes from the venue's own website, menu, booking page or Instagram, or from the Michelin Guide and official listings. Nobody paid to be in this guide, and nobody knew we were writing it. If something has changed, write to [email protected] and we'll correct it. How we pick a place →
