Evenings in November are cool enough to eat outside again. These are four terraces worth a call on Thursday, before the weekend tables go.

Two sit on the sand: Shimmers at Mina A'Salam, with the Burj Al Arab across the water, and Bungalo34 at Nikki Beach on Pearl Jumeira. Two sit at Jumeirah Emirates Towers: Ninive's lantern-lit garden for a late dinner, and La Cantine du Faubourg's pergola for a weekday lunch.
